Some chemicals, such as arsenic, cause cancer without directly interacting with DNA. Understanding how these agents cause cancer will allow us to identify and reduce the risk to low dose exposures. Our research is also interested in identifying the risk of exposure on sensitive populations. We are therefore determining targets of arsenic following embryonic and neonatal exposures. In order to achieve these goals, our research combines experiments that use cells, animal models and human populations.
