I have a long-standing interest in understanding how cancer arises. Consequently, my research career has been focused towards the molecular genetic studies on cancer (specifically solid tumors). The long-term goals of my research program are to identify genes involved in the etiology of cancers and to use the information from such studies to develop new and innovative treatments to prevent and cure cancers.
